Hey everyone! I just bought my first house and the mortgage payments are no joke. I’m looking for a credit card that gives some nice perks for homeowners. Right now I’m torn between two options:
- The upcoming Bilt card that’ll work for mortgage payments
- The Mesa card with tons of credits like:
- $200 for home services
- $120 for pet care
- $100 for home improvements
- And more
I don’t want to open too many cards. Which one do you think is better for the long run? Does anyone know if Bilt offers any special credits? What are the good and bad points for each?
I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Have you considered the Chase Sapphire Preferred? It’s not specifically for homeowners, but it offers great travel rewards that could help offset other expenses. What’s your main goal with the card - earning points or specific home-related perks? Curious to hear more about your priorities!
i’ve been using the mesa card for a few months now and its pretty sweet. the home service credit came in handy when my AC broke down. bilt sounds interesting but i havent heard much about it. maybe check if they have any intro bonuses? that could tip the scales
I’ve been using the Bilt card for about six months now, and it’s been a game-changer for my mortgage payments. The ability to earn points on rent or mortgage is unique, and they’ve recently added some decent perks for homeowners.
That said, the Mesa card’s specific credits sound appealing, especially if you’re a new homeowner facing unexpected expenses. Consider your spending habits and whether you’d fully utilize those credits. Bilt’s strength lies in its flexibility, while Mesa seems more tailored to homeowner needs. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your specific situation and financial goals.
