Hey there! Austin’s growth is wild, right? I’m curious about the hidden gems you’ve found. Any secret spots for affordable housing with good vibes? And how are y’all handling those summer electricity bills? Got any cool tricks to keep costs down while staying comfy in the heat?
hey y’all, austin native here! gotta say, the housing market’s been crazy lately. if ur lookin for a good deal, check out pflugerville or round rock. bit of a drive but way more affordable. watch out for those property taxes tho, they can sneak up on ya. anyone else notice how fast mueller’s growin?
As someone who’s lived in Austin for over a decade, I can attest to the rapid changes in the housing market. While Pflugerville and Round Rock are indeed more affordable, don’t overlook some of the hidden gems within Austin proper. Areas like Windsor Park and North Loop are still relatively reasonable and offer great community vibes. Regarding utilities, I’ve found Austin Energy to be quite reliable, though their rates have been climbing. For internet, Google Fiber is available in many areas and offers excellent speeds. Just be prepared for the summer electricity bills - they can be shocking for newcomers. Always factor in the cost of utilities when budgeting for housing here.
