Hey everyone! I’m so excited to share some news about our mortgage journey!
We just hit a big milestone in our financial goals. This year, we’ve managed to put a total of $30,010 extra towards our home loan. It feels amazing to see that number!
The best part? We recently made a lump sum payment of $14,000. It’s crazy to think about how much of a dent that makes in our overall balance.
After all these extra payments, our mortgage is now sitting at $258,000. It’s still a big number, but it’s so much lower than where we started. We’re definitely heading in the right direction!
Anyone else working on paying down their mortgage faster? What strategies are you using? I’d love to hear your stories and tips!
Let’s keep pushing forward and cheering each other on. Every extra dollar counts!
Wow, that’s impressive! How did you manage to save up so much extra? I’m curious about your budgeting tricks. Have you noticed any changes in your lifestyle while focusing on these big payments? It’s inspiring to see such progress!
Congratulations on your significant mortgage milestone! Your dedication to paying down your debt is commendable. I’ve found that setting up automatic bi-weekly payments has been effective for me. It results in an extra payment each year without much effort. Additionally, I allocate any windfalls or bonuses directly to the mortgage principal. Have you considered refinancing to a lower interest rate? This could potentially accelerate your payoff timeline even further. Keep up the excellent work - you’re making impressive progress towards financial freedom.
nice job mate! i’m tryin to do the same but its tough. my strategy is puttin any extra cash from side gigs straight to the mortgage. it ain’t much but every bit helps right? keep crushin it!
