Is obtaining a real estate license worthwhile for purchasing an $800k+ home to save on costs?

However, I didn’t proceed to the final test because my local testing centers only scheduled early morning slots, which I found difficult to manage. I do have a small amount of real estate knowledge and am considering getting my license primarily to save on commission fees due to recent updates in regulations.

Edit: When I say it will be like a lucrative second job, I mean that by investing 1-2 months into obtaining the license, I could end up saving around $20k in net expenses when purchasing my home. I have no desire to work as a real estate agent professionally.
