Negotiating Home Sale: Should We Replace a Non-Original Deck at Buyer’s Request?

Under contract for our home sale, the buyers have asked for a deck replacement—even though it was not an original feature and our pricing reflects that. Should we cover the full cost, split expenses, or handle this through our broker?

i reckon a split is fair since the deck isn’t original. though, have a quick chat with your broker to see if there’s a better play. may not be worth diving into a full cost cover if the upgrade is more cosmetic than essential.
