Would anyone purchase a house outright if they caught a windfall?

While some might prefer borrowing funds even with a windfall, I would immediately pay in full to dodge long-term debt. Who else would opt to buy their home entirely with cash?

Cash offers that solid security, but I wonder if keeping some funds liquid to chase other investments might be wise. Has anyone tried finding a balance between full cash deals and smart leveraging?

i think that buying outright has its appeal, but having a mix might protect you from market shifts. personally, if i coould afford it fully, i’d still keep some cash for emergencies or spontaneous oppurtunities.
